 Physiological demand on sports, everyday and leisure wear

 Clothing produced as sports, everyday and leisure wear must satisfy their intended end use, as well as physiological function of comfort.

  It is important to recognize that the physiological demand varies with different types of clothing. 

 All clothing have to satisfy demands concerning four different aspects of comfort. These four different aspect of comfort are : 

*Thermo-physiological comfort : It comprises heat and moisture transport from the body through the clothing into the atmosphere and the consequence of sensations of coolness, warmth , chilling and sweating. 

*Skin sensory comfort : It is the contact and interaction between textiles and skin. Softness, smoothness, stiffness, scratching, clinging etc. 

* Ergonomic comfort : It is concern with garment fit and ease of movement. Deciding factors are the pattern of clothing and elasticity of materials used. 

* Psychological comfort : It is the subjective comfort sensation. It depends on fashion, brand image, colour, pattern, textile materials and attitude of wearer.
