Physiological demand on sports, everyday and leisure wear
Clothing produced as sports, everyday and leisure wear must satisfy their intended end use, as well as physiological function of comfort.
It is important to recognize that the physiological demand varies with different types of clothing.
All clothing have to satisfy demands concerning four different aspects of comfort. These four different aspect of comfort are :
*Thermo-physiological comfort : It comprises heat and moisture transport from the body through the clothing into the atmosphere and the consequence of sensations of coolness, warmth , chilling and sweating.
*Skin sensory comfort : It is the contact and interaction between textiles and skin. Softness, smoothness, stiffness, scratching, clinging etc.
* Ergonomic comfort : It is concern with garment fit and ease of movement. Deciding factors are the pattern of clothing and elasticity of materials used.
* Psychological comfort : It is the subjective comfort sensation. It depends on fashion, brand image, colour, pattern, textile materials and attitude of wearer.
